I love challenging crosswords, strong IPAs, compelling TV dramas, and nights out with the Durham Bulls (sometimes all at once). My career goals include amending the U.S. Constitution so that bakeries are required to stay open until at least 9pm (some of us want a doughnut in the evening, too). Life’s too short to drink bad coffee. After a successful career in the nonprofit sector, I finished law school with honors while holding down a full-time job. I then went on to file hundreds of applications for immigrants seeking asylum, permanent residence, temporary protected status, and work authorization in the U.S. The vast majority of these have been accepted. I specialize in immigration law, to include asylum, USCIS representation, deportation defense, family-based green cards, employment-based green cards, Special Immigrant Visas, humanitarian parole, and cross-border issues. I also specialize in family law, which includes divorce, child custody, alimony, child support, guardianship, and LGBTQ+ relationship issues.
